I just wanna say...AND YES I'LL CONTINUE AND GIVE IT TIME..but I just wanna say...the MC is already dumb as hell and I really hope he's not one of those dumb MCs.
You had a dream about an apocalyptic thingy which turned into just you being scared about your assignment, but nevertheless, it means you're aware of how they work/how they go. You wake up after a long ahh sleep and the hallways of your literal dorm rooms are empty, quiet and dark, iirc it's daytime. Your dumb ahh ain't find that suspicious? That's not even all, furthermore, you're aware you have WAY too many text messages than usual, there's no service suddenly AND your friends were talking about safety. Did he need Gemini to summarize the chat for him or could he not just guess something weird was going on? Even if he were wrong it didn't cross his mind AT ALL.
