Yeah I mean like, his suicide is in the past right? So this is just my guessed of the reason for his suicide
Not a spoiler, just a guess. What if Adam's suicide was because he cannot go into battle anymore after this fight, and since Eve bonded with him, he also cannot go to the battle without his bonded guide, thereby humanity losses it's best chance at fighting back. So maybe Adam tried to kill himself in hopes of Eve finding another bonded guide?
