I thought it was obvious that Aaron was fucked in the head. The confinement feels like the logical conclusion to was a mounting obsession on Aaron's part.
It seems to me that Yujin (and a lot of readers) seriously underestimated the lengths that Aaron would go to keep his man with him.
While I do think the author could've hinted more towards Aaron's darker nature, this new season doesn't feel like a switch up at all
