While Salvo’s backstory is very interesting and his whole reason for being in Florida and learning English is his ex, their relationship doesn’t appear enjoyable. It seems to me like Rizzo can’t stand Salvo most of the time, and he just wants him to do the things they need him to do(like make money). Of course he grew tired of him, he says he basically raised him, someday you’re bound to get tired of the manchild you’re living with. That said, I don’t think Salvo is unlovable, he just resists to the idea(at least at 43 years old, he admits that he has isolated himself) Ben’s story intrigues me a lot too, and I think he’s more alike to Salvo than we might’ve thought.
