Hmmm, I Think many are upset by the “brothers” part, but I just think that the author felt like the ml needed a good enough reason to not get intimate with him, and it makes sense(not for plot, obviously) but to make it a little more of a slow burner than other short mangas. Idk, just a thought that came to mind, still unnecessary but nevertheless a cute story ╮(￣▽￣)╭
