okay another add one, at the last chap of the recent season when seo found out that the watch was showing alternate futures that should be avoided.
bc when he had that dream it became a lifeline and a stepping stone that looking forward to the future is now a possibility but now he heard the conversation his hope has been shattered and it’ll further solidify bus mindset that he doesn’t deserve to live his own life after he fulfills his comrades wishes and moreso he’ll most likely start pulling away from jihan even more BYE
honestly i really like the worldbuilding in this its not too hard to keep up and i like the fact theyre correlating it with scientific theories its such a human thing to do to explain something in a logical sense for us to be able to comprehend something thats beyond our capability and understanding.
and the art style development was really clean and i thoroughly enjoyed the action scenes most of the time fantasy bls lack a lot of the ‘onomatopoeia’ part of a drawing in the action part or rather more lack luster ig.
tbh through reading like the 1/3 of the story i was pissed on behalf of seo like why are you guys forcing someone who clearly does not want to be found, as well constantly pushing his boundaries. but now theres a plausible reason as to why they did that i was like yea okay, i was still a bit mad tho.
the comedy parts are actually hilarious and not forced, and i like the fact that the author implicated comedic vibes into the ‘last wish’ pt with his comrades its clear that most of it coincides with seo’s livelihood and considering he is the mc, it’s bound to brought up, usually if they didnt add that comedic relief the manhwa would most def turn a bit more dark and melancholy.
then back to jihan and seo, lowk not a fan of the age gap 22 and 29, maybe bc im 22 myself i just cant imagine that lolol, so i had a bit of an ick for a bit and also like at the start the relationship felt force like way before seo and jihan hospital “arc”, it just felt off and iffy in a way, but after they had that heart to heart talk at the hospital scene and both began to open up thats when i was like yessss this is the chemistry i was after.
other than that they’re cute though i do wish jihan would pipe down on the whole alpha mode wolf protection thing like seo is also the same rank as you just because he has a debuff does nawt mean u gotta treat him like someone who’ll break any second like sonion (but also ik why he acts like that bc its clear he likes seo, and im just ranting for the hell of it)
as for seo ahhhhhhh im so sad for him, the survival’s guilt hits hard and will always. the fact he still turns back to suicidal ideation even have temporary setbacks where he thinks maybe its okay to look forward but ends up back to his old mindset is so heartbreaking.
i think the fact jihan has caught up in this and thinking of ways that seo doesnt have to give up is just ╥﹏╥, im lowkey getting vibes that jihan will make a wish to seo that he has to live or something along the lines where he doesn’t take his own life and/or reckless.
for the unknown person going into the portal i honestly think its kangjin (sorry if i butchered the name my memory sucks) the person that went mia in the great dungeon who was the “5th survivor”, because the dungeon made its appearance im assuming that the great dungeon wasnt clear and just disappeared rather than explode like what it was implied with how the dungeons worked here.
also i forgot to add but when seo got reminded of domin through jihan sobbingggg
anyways thats enough yapping its a really good read im looking forward to the next seasons
