So, I haven’t been reading from this site that often this year bcs of ao3. This has been going on for years now, I alternate between them but this and last year was mostly for ao3. It got me through my depression, my unemployment phase, my employment phase and was about to start writing again this december…
I am quite familiar with ao3 as a reader since 2016 and been through their system fix ups and whatnot… but this time.. it feels weird and idk I just got a bad feeling about this one. It didn’t help that there is a site where almost all of the fics (deleted or archived) are all there with AI shit and etc but you have to pay for it…
God, why do these hackers or tech savy people do this to one of the most peaceful sites in the world. Made for the people, volunteered by the people and donated by the people??
Couldn’t they have done this to a super secret government website? Or idk?! Help out the commonfolks?
It sucks. You try to get by everyday, living in this world where a world war can break out any other day. Where your pay doesn’t rises even if everything in the market does. Where the rich gets richer and the poor are knee deep in the mud of poverty.. and now the only solace you have, the only free and community driven place you have is now gone (the volunteers trying to save it, bless them)..
Reading is the only solace for a world full of disaster and yet they too, took it away. For greed and money.
Truly, this world is not worth living for.
Sorry for the rant, I just got off a 10 hr shift and I accidentally opened one of my ao3 tabs wanting to read. Then remembered its down, went to twitter and saw nuclear bombs being dropped. Trump coming in our country for that AI data base which could kill our resources. The dollar hikes up again.
I am so tired. This world is being run by 60+ year olds who are desperate in killing off each other and while they’re doing that, these fuckers who broke ao3 are hacking FANFIC SITES WHEN THESE FUCKERS COULDVE HACKED THOSE FAT, DEMENTIA DRIVEN, POWER HUNGRY MEN’S WEBSITES/PHONES OR WHATEVER TO STOP THE WORLD FROM COLLAPSING.
Anyways, got that out of my chest.
