Lowkey this felt like reading an ETA reddit thread;; I mostly feel bad for hyung though. Like yeah Geonpil didnt need to reciprocate hyungs feelings, but he also didnt need to take advantage of them either. The blatant disregard he had about hyung too - only realizing how much he appreciated that tenderness when it was too late - was really painful. Especially bc he had said multiple times before that he knew how fragile and tender hyung was. I do think its best geon and hung never got together tho bc geon is much too violent for hyung,,,im also sad for Beom but I guess theyre happy. Beom just feels too inexperienced and naive for my liking,,, talking about sex like needing to pee and his belly button itching. It shows an innocence that feels gross when in contact with geonpils aggressive nature. The grandma bit too, though it made me incredibly sad, felt a lot like a bandaid fix to a much bigger problem never fully addressed. Im glad hyung never fully forgave geonpil in the end,,,"you suck" www me too hyung me too.
I guess though the ending was the only way no one would be lonely, and I think overall this story serves as a reminder not only to be yourself, but to not waste yourself on others. Be kind and honest both internally and externally,,,or you'll face a never ending hunger.
