Fr. It's just Karma in the end. In the first place, whether FL was truly Elizabeth's or Iris's daughter, she was only a child who knew nothing of her mother's misdeed. He should've treated the innocent child decently at least but no, he had to be so horrible to her that when the truth is real, he is getting hit by a train, a truck and an airplane all at the same time.
He was perfectly fine abusing a child, but once the truth comes out he's like oh nooo that poor child. Pathetic and ridiculous, at least own up to your own assholery. He deserves all the anguish and more
