No? In the real world trans ppl exist and they are their gender. In this world takatora with better health care could take hormones to be more alpha like.

    I agree with Asahi's point.
And as like a fun fact or, culturally important fact. As far as gender, I feel like Takatora being from a conservative family in Japan also like, makes his view of what his gender is, all over. Like he does want to be alpha like, look like an alpha, be on par and thought of as being the same as alpha, and, basically live life as an alpha if he can, with him being no different from other apha, but he also says he's an omega. Japan still widely has like 2 terms for being trans, and both descriptions are derived from princes knight from the 1950's (yep, that's how little progress has been made as far as trans rep in mainstream media as a whole there, and it's influence outside of the lgbtq community there), that description being a woman born with the heart of a man or a man being born with a heart of a woman, and basically God made an oopsy and their male or female heart was put into the wrong body. So, I feel like him calling himself an omega despite also saying he has more in common with alpha and feels he is more like an alpha, is because of how things are described culturally in Japan, and even more so since he is from a conservative old money family, he might still be more used to older terms and ways for things.

Also, on to your other topic about women and men being friends, women can have men as friends just like they can have women as friends. The problem is that there are people out there, a lot being men, who act like animals, because society perpetuates and encourages men to demonstrate, uphold and participate in certain behaviors and toxic gender norms, that lead to a lot of turning out scum like that.

Takatora went into a den that might as well been a rich tech and finance bro frat club, which the chances of encountering toxic men or alphas like that are a thousand times higher, because those kinds of outlets traditionally have applauded such behavior. I'm not saying that should have happened, because it never should have, but he was in an environment that a lot of times breeds those toxic behaviors and sentiments, but because they didn't used to affect him, he didn't take much notice to any potential red flags either. Either way, that shit never should have happened, he shouldn't have had to be wary when going to a friendly gathering, but the world is so messed up that stuff like that can happen if you aren't.
And tech and business is notorious for rampant say and harassment of women, or in this case omega.

I do think he can be friends with Alpha who actually respect him, but he needs to get out of the "elite alpha rich kids" and "tech bro" circles to find those people.
