Like she wants to believe but she hates herself for it. That's actually kind of realistic. I'm not fully absolving her, but it's more,idk, forgivable than some shoujo manhwas dads who just coldly abuse kids for years, that's lashing out in anger. For all the mom knows, Ria could be an expert manipulator. I think I might be pissed off too, although in my case it would be more of the "break down crying" anger I think
