It’s not 100% the squirrel parents' fault either.

I suppose that, given this is a fantasy genre, the squirrels have an exceptionally high fertility rate.

Furthermore, the "pull-out" method doesn't guarantee a 100% prevention of pregnancy (it has a 78–96% success rate in preventing pregnancy, meaning there is still a significant risk). It’s also likely that they’ve already tried other methods, but none have worked.

The squirrel does indeed have a large family, and given its poor financial situation, how could it possibly have many options.

It’s also been documented that once they had five children, they tried to find ways to stop—but it didn’t work, and they ended up getting pregnant three more times with twin, resulting in six additional children. Just imagine: even fl grandparents had seven children, yet in this case, the parents tried to put a stop to it after only five.

Do you remember how the female lead’s mother was ill/frail, yet still managed to get pregnant? The fertility of the female lead’s parents is truly powerful.
