For once, she stopped keeping everything to herself and finally let Eunhyuk hear what she had been holding inside for so long, even if she seemed shaken and overwhelmed by everything she had been carrying, she finally allowed herself to express the pain and frustration she had been keeping inside.
And I get why people who are particularly attached to Eunhyuk might have felt sad for him after this chapter. That’s completely valid, and I don’t think anyone should dismiss his feelings. Especially considering how difficult it was for him to open up about the truth in the first place, how much shame he carried about his circumstances, and the fact that Raim had even made him believe that Suae would never be able to understand him. So seeing him face her words after everything he’s been through is understandably heartbreaking. But Suae deserves just as much sympathy. She still has absolutely no answers. She knows nothing about his struggles, his trauma or everything he went through. How can we expect her to understand a situation when she has never been given the full picture?
I do think he’s ready now to explain a lot more, and it’s a very good things he came back at the end, showing her that he still want to help even after what she said
The one thing I still struggle to understand, though, is why the author didint focus with the scene of Suae witnessing him being beaten by his father + his family’s scandal. I feel like these are such important missing pieces. They wouldn’t justify Eunhyuk leaving or the way he handled things, but they could at least have given Suae some indication of what he was going through. I really hope the author addresses this.
And I honestly think he deserves understanding, too. People seem to forget that he’s dealing with his own pain and trauma, and that his actions cannot be judged without considering everything he went through. That doesn’t mean he handled everything perfectly, he didn’t.
But they finally have the opportunity to understand each others
I also feel like the author has noticeably changed the direction of the story since the hiatus. Things have been moving quite quickly, and I think she might also be trying to finally close the love triangle dynamic. Remember when Suae told Dowha, “We’ll see each other again”, and he replied, “You’re lying”? Honestly, that exchange could easily have been interpreted as foreshadowing for a possible romantic development between them. However, the story never really went in that direction. Suae has made it clear several times that she doesn’t have romantic feelings for him, and we haven’t seen Dowha for quite a few chapters now. I don’t think that’s necessarily a coincidence. It feels like the author is gradually shifting the focus away from that dynamic and bringing the main relationship back into focus, especially now that we’re in the final arc.
I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here and how the author intends to bring everything to a conclusion !!
