i kinda dont like that all the abuse he put mc through, it got made into "oh but he loved him there was just miscommunication"... bro he killed his loved ones, broke his ankles, raped him, wasn't loyal, and made him think hes dying and got him to kill himself transferring the damage to himself, you cant just rewrite that kind of history with "oh it was just their culture and language that mc didnt understand, they're not a loyal species, theyre fine wth breaking bones uwu,,,, like bro what....
and the arc of ml finding his past life memories and regretting was way too late in the story and too fast, it wasn't even an internalized regret arc cause he still saw it like "oh but that isn't me, too bad he treated you like that but thats not me, i wouldnt"....... it added nothing to the plot at that point whether from his pov mc was like that over a "dream" or a past life, cause he didnt see it as himself treating him that way to feel regret either way....
and the ending of the kid hatching walking and talking, and them getting into a rivalry over mc, not even a childiish rivalry like "pay attention to meee", but whole cunning plans... was weird....
and in the end it felt like there was a big disconnect between the vibes of the comic and the actual topics, cause in vibes it was lighthearted, but the actual actions in the past life were horrific, so its a really weird read
