I've also been reading Flashlight for two years, and unlike you, I didn't take the story way too seriously or emotionally. For me, all those emotions and the rape are fictional it never really happened. It might be a loss that the story turned out to be a typical 'no communication, just sex' BL, but to me, it's just the logical follow-up to a romance that was toxic from the very beginning. And about 'fans making their dissatisfaction clear' y'all need to understand that most of these manhwas are a business. Authors and platforms write what drives engagement and keeps people paying.
