honestly i found this to be a super unsatisfying read. no real apology, nothing is ever really addressed in-character about the fact that sanada not only bullied him (because of HIS OWN FEELINGS by the way), but was the reason the bullying from others got extreme and itonaga became entirely isolated socially. sanada claims to have liked him but completely switched up one day and didn’t give enough of a fuck about him and his wellbeing enough to protect him, then continues to be incredibly emotionally immature and a bad boyfriend as adults, continually hurting itonaga and making him cry because he refuses to communicate ever and jumps to every ridiculous conclusion he can
not to mention the way their relationship started. having the audacity to randomly ask out the guy who had to move schools because of the bullying YOU started and caused to escalate, not apologise even once, and then expect him not to misunderstand things and assume you’re dating him out of pity? when you explained and acknowledged nothing? honestly his friends that came to the festival were right, they only followed his lead and now he’s judging them when he’s the reason they did all that? i felt emotionally blue balled by this manga
