Clarification

So I've been seeing a lot of people are confused what's going so this new season, season 2, is the events that happened before season 1. It is explaining what led to Adam becoming blind and the reason why he committed suicide, which led to Michael/Eve erasing both their memories.
The reason why Adam, went blind was because he was over using the guide inducers, which a side effect is their guiding eventually becoming ineffective and becoming blind. (There is probably more side effects but it appears these are the main ones.) Also the idea that he is a lower guide level since he's A+ guide while Micheal/Eve being triple S level esper.
Michael/Eve words held huge weight behind the idea of espers and guides are mere tools and once they have served their purpose then they need to be disposed of.
Adam became "useless" and didn't see a purpose to live anymore, so he decided to end it. Well that didn't settle well with Michael/Eve cause he didn't realize he'll harbor huge feelings towards Adam, we obviously see how possessive he gets towards Adam, but seeing Adam dying was his breaking point, which led to Michael/Eve erasing both their memories and eventually becoming "Extinction" danger level since his bonded guide is Adam and refuses to receive guiding from someone else.
What we don't know yet is how Adam was able to keep his vision and how he's still able to guide, because the story so far is implying he lost both. Also the timeline between season 2 to season 1, because how long did it take for Adam to regain his vision and ability to guide and how is Michael/Eve able to prevent himself becoming corrupted long enough to eventually get Adam as his guide again. My theory rn is that Gabriel and Isiah each gave up one of their eye so Adam could have vision again. Still don't have any idea how Adam is able to guide again.
