But seeing the couple of contrarians in the comments has set off a personal landmine of mine lol
You guys have got to stop treating jp publishers and mangaka like kr publishers and manhwa artists.
Most of the time ((more like 95%)) these artists are barely given a singular volume to tell their stories. It's why when they get the golden green light for a second volume it's normally just fluff and SoL content or they introduce some sort of wedged in "conflict" to try and showcase different sides of the characters.
Ya'll always wanna complain about how "fast-paced" bl manga are but rarely take into consideration that jp artists aren't treated the same way kr ones are. They don't get to waste time making 80+ chapters of absolute bs with more empty white space than art to pad out reading time. They have to cram in as much as they can within 6.5 short chapters 'cause that is all they are initially given.
Shit, it's practically a cause for celebration when a bl manga gets the go-ahead for a second volume, whereas with bl manhwa it's a given that there will be at least 2-3 seasons that have like 30+ chapters each lol and this is coming from someone who reads quite a bit of both in equal parts.
Anyways, tl;dr: shut up about how fast a bl manga plot moves. Just be grateful this series is getting another volume lol
