He made me stay for the story because at firt the story was not giving. It wasn't engaging me that much. But when I was slapped with Cruell's character arc, I got in invested.

This was actually a good one, I'd say a good portrayal of the consequences of war, power, and immortality. Everything makes sense in the end, that's one way to point out a good written story. I am so attached to Cruell and his unconditional love as a brother I almost teared up. Also the Lofty knight who adored Deon so much. I was also attached to Ben, he was a cutie. As for the Deon, I don't like him as a character. He was the reason I wasn't engaged enough, ikd bcs he kept on acting pathetic despire his feats. I know there was a reason behind it but it irked me. Also he planned to kill Hell, Hell was such an adorable commander. As for the Emperor idk I don't like his death, it felt so selfish bcs wdym you have no regret no guilt to what you've done to Deon, Illuster too I wasn't satisfied with their conclusion. It was as if they're mocking him. The demon king have a pass bcs bro don't feel nothing and just wanna die lol. I also don't like how the next emperor don't have a fucking accountability that dumbass.
It was a fitting end for Deon because death is the only way he can finally be free and atone for his sins.
It was an unexpectedly good read, I gues it's a slowburn for me. The full circle moment with the baby and the lofty knights was a cherry on top I'd say.
