I read this because I do like the farming and child raising aspect. compared to a few other titles he's not entirely capitalistic. though the supporting characters are lacking in some areas, it's really getting on my nerves with the entire elf plot so far. not only did sanh do something a bit out of character (she's more reserved than the other two and has learned how to loosen up) and ended up giving Genwoo something precious, and then we've had two instances of antagonists coming from China. nationalist much(?) even if ultimately, he's not arrogant about it, this entire storyline is savior-coded. it really started feeling like them when the 'elves' farming was introduced and Genwoo determined that they were just wildly growing like weeds. like there are other farming methods outside of the meticulously tilled rows suited for monoculture. I'd suspend my disbelief is there were other effective antagonists I'll keep reading to see how this will end up but I'm very frustrated that it ended up playing into two pet peeves, which is a national agenda and a savior complex
not to mention I've let it slide that he just doesn't tell anyone anything. his parents are relegated as his confidants. but like not telling ANYONE is another pet peeve of mines, because in stories like these there really is not any reason why he needs to hide outside of narrative obstruction

ch132 and I really don't think I have the patience for this anymore. I skipped to see what the end is like and it seems it'll keep following this plotline. it's a happy ending for everyone, though I do wonder about all the romantic endings at the end(?)
