I can understand the enraged comments about the plot (or not-plot at this point), and wondering what went (really) wrong along the way, but this is still the work of a person investing time and energy and heart in it. Even if we don't understand what they are doing and don't agree with the choice, what does the badmouthing the author bring? Or say they shouldn't write anything anymore? It's still something they invested in, and who knows, maybe making so many people unhappy with this plot will be the reason the next story will be better.
