The art on pages 31–47 of chapter 48 is really good. It's like a children's book explaining depression and how to let someone with depression have some space while still keeping an eye on them.
I almost missed reading this because of its low rating and I wasn't attracted to the art at first. But I like exes-to-lovers story, so long as cheating is not the reason for their breakup. This deserves a higher rating for the domestic scenes of the couple. They have great chemistry.
I wish the rape and blackmail plot is replaced with something else to explain why the ML went missing for years, but the truth is that things like this happen in real life.
I agree that those rapists deserve harsher punishment, but I totally understand the ML's decision. If that happened to me, I'd also want it to be dealt with quietly, without my parents or the whole world knowing. But honestly, I might just hire people to off them. And I've never been violent in my life.
Though, again, I wish authors don't use rape as plot device anymore. Please be more creative and don't torture your characters.
