jokes aside, i do wonder abusive father trope being common is that unfortunately dv is relatively common in sk. many children do grow up with abusive fathers. since sk is a very patriarchal society, divorces FAVOUR heavily the father over the mother unlike the west as we consider mothers as children primary caretakers. doesn't help sk is also very conservative, hence why most women just tolerate the abusive relationship.

i do wonder if this is just a subconscious thing, by sk writers to have abusive father in stories. sometimes the subconscious writes itself without us noticing it.
