Although the name didn't ring a bell, I knew from the very first page that I had read this. it was like that Narnia quote "as if from a dream... or a dream of a dream". I am so glad I read this again. It was beautiful. The characters were flawed, the slow decent into mania was glorious, I love the true friendship between the MC and his wife, I love the friendship between the kids, I love how ML's brother was very mature yet also very childish in his approach to comfort. I love the ML's old gang friends. I love the second ML too, mostly because of how he was not written to overshadow the story. He had a purpose and he served it, his heart was genuine and he was fine with whatever crumbs he could get. I love ML's first owner. hell, if I was cunty enough, I'd walk around with shibarii rope peeking out from my cleavage too cause damn. And this may be unpopular, but I love how cunty the MC's father is, ready to get fucked to get your way must be a gutsy move, especially in your old age. my only disappointment is that I never saw him get daggered properly (sexually, not actual stabbing lmfao)... This story was perfect. they fucked a lot but the pacing was so good. it was just immaculate. 100/10.
