I wish as a society we’d move past romanticizing literal rape, but alas, I guess not. I’m dropping this story after their wedding night, as he tells her to take a drink of alcohol to have sex with him, despite her being visibly uncomfortable and upset. He continues anyway, even taking a sip himself. Not only was his behavior beforehand absolutely disgusting, (I mean, you allowed this innocent woman to be ripped apart by high society while you played your little cards and chips with your disgusting friends) he continues this vile behavior by assaulting her?? After everything she’s already sacrificed so far?? And you’re telling me there’s a 100+ more chapters of him being absolute trash, so much so that she has to leave him AFTER she miscarries?
