I don’t see the pipeline from the ML bullying her in high school and finding interest in that, to the him now, who’s controlling all these elements 24/7 to make sure she falls in love with him because he’s so obsessed and in love with her. There’s such a disconnect between the two. I didn’t get the impression at all that he felt love towards her, or something gradual from the past memories. Just, amusement in torturing a mortal. Feels like there should be moooore lore explained here to make things feel less unnatural. I wanna know why she had those dreams with those alien creatures.
