I made the mistake of not seeing the rating and reading the comments before starting this. I thought this would a classic sports rivalry enemies to lovers, but instead I got Stockholm syndrome, a MC incpable of standing up for himself, and an irredeemable ML. Not worth it.
"Noooo, you have a tragic background, so I started to feel bad for you and fell in love with you even though you messed with my athletic career, blackmailed me, raped me repeatedly!!"
The ending is super unsatisfying and abrupt. We don't even see a groveling or at all a redemption arc for all the horrible shit the ML did. The MC just forgives him because he pities the ML. He always spoke of wanting revenge (which he emphasizes a million times), yet he loses all braincells around the MC, and has no ability to stand up for himself because he started liking the sex (r*pe) he has with the ML... seemingly any punch the MC throws in his attempt for revenge ends with him tripping onto the MLs d*ck.
If that is your style, go for it, if you are looking for complex characters and a semblance of a plot, look elsewhere.
