honestly

imo honestly rereading this all in one go, lowkey hunter's behavior...the signs are so much more prominent earlier on in the series even before the art got really gorgeous, like calling yujin a "pet" before growing attached to him, same thing with yujin saying he'd run if he tried to tie him down. it's also interesting how both yujin and hunter's childhood's showthrough in their dynamic- yujin running away from things and quickly moves from place to place, never having one stable home... and obviously hunter struggling with his emotions from a young age (noted earlier in story possibility of psychopathy), it's just those two things collide so heavily and you got so different perspectives from the mc's. im still in shock about how yujin intially left so that he could protect hunter from his own bio dad...yet didn't really seem to trust for hunter's promise of protection. hunter wanting something for the first time in his life, a person & yujin recieving something similar to safety net both money and protection in different senses... i just wish the series didn't have to get super in the trenches of toxicity- like chaining someone up with no clothes is extremely traumatizing and stripped your sense of autonomy or even sense of self over time especially being isolated in a bedroom so unfamiliar. the measures taken are way past your average fear of abandonment trophe. it's honestly concerning like its starting to get into anatasia codename territory where i just can't see the storyline progressing in a healthy or even normal way even though i know there are novel chapters for these two apparently going through a top crying phase but im too scared lol!!!
