Just realized after skimming thru the chapters, the ML actually murder's each of MC's clients (3rd killed in ch.19) BUT only after MC gets raped and beaten. Maybe to hide any secondary blackmail as their contract is for ML to use MC as a fake public fiance? idk that plot device hasn't even been bought up yet. Or author wants to paint the ML in a better light by justifying the murders post rape scene rather than asking the MC and killing off his "client's" right away. I don't see why ML can't just gets someone to tail MC 24/7 to prevent him from getting raped
