Look, I think the story was super strong for around the first half, and the epilogues were also good. However, the ending was so obviously rushed and poorly planned out. There was a lot of stuff that was left unanswered or just forgotten. It’s like the author didn’t plan out how to balance the novel plot across 100 chapters, took too much time going into establishing it, and then forgot that a climax takes time as well. So many important things happened off screen, and there were too many skips around super important events that actually needed developing. The story was good, the art was good, and I’m sure the novel was better, but the inconsistent pacing just ruins the immersion as you enter the final stretch.
