This was a pleasant surprise?

I'd usually hate this kind of story, but this is one of the few where I feel like they've got a pretty good grasp on the emotional logic here. Jiho definitely forgives more then he should at the start, he ends up staying because it's a respite from a tough family situation, ends up relying on the closest relationship when things get tough, and gets out of a situation that he can recognize is setting up to get really bad (with how he handles his family it's obvious he'll stand up for himself when he's cornered, though maybe not before.) That he immediately gets sucked back when confronted isn't even a surprise; he cut ties wholesale instead of talking because he knew himself well enough to anticipated getting dragged right back in.
I actually have some hope in this one, now that he's established and not relying on them wholesale; bruv might be inexperienced, and weak to his emotions, but he ain't dumb.
