The plot was that as a kid the MC was living with his aunt. Then he went to this forest to...ask for a wish? from the forest god / entity living there. The entity / god followed him home in a shape of another kid, I'm pretty sure, and they made some kind of a promise. Then some old lady adviced the adults that a spirit is trying to steal MC away. There was a scene of the god / entity coming to get MC, but the old lady had adviced not to open the door: the spirit will knock three times, but ignore it and it goes away. The aunt eventually died.
Then once MC had grown up the god / entity came and found him again. He appeared like a super gorgeous man to MC, but looked average af to other people and other people couldn't see him properly.
