Shit! I haven’t read the side story yet, but based on the spoiler, it’s even worse that Rashta’s child has to disguise herself as a man and become a guard when she’s supposed to be the Emperor’s daughter.
I know Rashta is a bitch for being the other woman, but she was also just trying to survive. Let’s not forget that she was only a baby when her father sold her into slavery. Her master’s son fell in love with her, they had a child together, but her master took the baby away after she gave birth, lied that the child was dead, and even tried to kill her. She escaped, got shot by Sovieshu, and was taken in as his concubine because of her beauty.
What do you expect from someone who was mistreated her entire life and suddenly got a chance to live comfortably? She became greedy, and eventually died alone in prison.
Honestly, this is the author’s fault for writing such a trash story. If you want Rashta to be a villainess, don’t give readers so many reasons to sympathize with her.
