I don't think Hajime was reborn as Kurogane, it explains it early in the manga that Sayuri regrets distancing herself from her students and taking a tough love approach when she had so much love for them, and she promised herself if she got a second chance she wouldn't hold out. =]
omg sayuri's past is so sad!!! so hajime was reborn as kurogane? this explains why he could see her!! and no wonder she said she loves him in the earlier chapter .... this is so cute and sad :'(
