The thing I have about this manga is that its cliche..but at the same time ISN'T. I've never read a shoujo manga where the mc and the love interest are already dating from chapter 1, even if it was just a trial at the time. Usually the whole thing with shoujo is the thrill of them meeting and developing the relationship. But this mangaka completely skipped that and said "nahh shes gonna confess in chapter 2"...AND IT WORKS, for this manga at least. Its an interesting plot for sure. The guys personality is definitely different, he's smart, an a-hole but also a sweet guy. His mischievousness is attractive and this mangaka makes it al work.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed. Yet, for some reason it also felt cliche? Idk why, there was hardly anything cliche about it..I mean the mc wasn't even the main attraction of the cultural festival (which they usually are) she was just a rat!! Anyways, this is getting long so all I can really say is...read it. I feel like this could've been a 9.0 rated manga, but something didn't make it that. If you know what it is tell me below lol!!
