i remember chancing upon manga in our local library. it was a shabby little bookshelf and it was impossible to read any series in chronological order because the volumes would be borrowed out. i remember reading Gals!, Fruits Basket, D.N.Angel, Tokyo Mew Mew, Kitchen Princess, Full Moon O Sagashite (broke my 9 year old heart), Millennium Snow, Ouran High, Shugo Chara...
