Actually when I wanted to adopt the translation, I (like most of you) was confused. I read the raw manhua twice and understood the unique storytelling.
Sometime the author does fly over a bit...and skip around a bit, but I promise, be patient, after two chapters or so, you will find out the the continuation between the chapters for sure.
The author changed many locations from chapter 8 to chapter 13. Some of the readers might be lost. They went cosplay party, summer camp. Dan Zi and Kai were lost in the forest, Dan Zi and Kai explored a haunted abandoned hotel. TBH, these places are not important at all. You can simply understand as the story goes by, Dan Zi finally realized he loves Kai, but he wanted to deny..because (no more spoil (⌒▽⌒)
