I can’t remember exactly what genre it was: yaoi or shoujo lol. But I just vaguely remember a guy who is used to kinda “buying people off” cause he’s rich, I guess. Then one day, he meets this other person who he comes to like, I believe he attempts to buy this person off, but the person doesn’t really care for material things, then after everything, the guy breaks down and tells the person about how all his life, his friends etc are just with him because he can give them stuff and he proceeds to ask the person what needs, the person smiles warmly at the downtrodden guy and replies “I don’t need anything”.
