Even without reporting it'd be surprising if they didn't know about mangago. Naive children have asked the authors when they'll update here and there's people who'll actually post about mangago on in the Facebook comments of Lezhin's promotions.
And for a while, mangago could be found as a top result on google
that's what i'm talking about. mangago is well-known and the people talking about it is just fanning the flame. this happened to onemanga and mangafox too some years ago because they are the most well-known aggregator site when an actual publishing company, not just a webcomic host is on a hunt.

thing is if those people are not talking about mangago, i don't think this chapter deletion would happen this soon. sure, we are just waiting for the inevitable but at least that would not trigger the webcomic owners this early and the deletion will stall for a longer time than now.
Soon? Eh, I think the removal was overdue. Lezhin was likely first made aware of Mangago's existence a year ago.
i think there was some webtoon deletion that happened some months ago but i'm not sure if it's lezhins (i think it is... warehouse or smth) as an aftermath of that twitter issue bec some artist/creator got mad and the people were panicking but it has been peaceful lately and more titles started to get uploaded until... well, things got stirred up again.

Yeah that was with Lezhin. The artists were vocally upset but lezhin's legal team didn't contact anyone at that time, not that I'm aware of anyway. Some scanlators laid low for a few months but that's about all. Actually, since then Killer Whale (maybe other authors too?) haven't stopped talking about it (some of the things they say about international readers is quite appalling) but that started 7 months ago. I've seen lesser known Tappytoon webtoons removed within a month so expected things to happen much earlier for Lezhin.
