OMG NO! If any of these readers had to form their own opinions on something as nebulous as writing style their head would explode! It is so much easier to parrot the cause of the week from Facebook. That way, other idiots think they look like they're smart, when in reality, they couldn't find their ass with both hands and a map.
All of this outrage and dissappointment because the author failed to be politically correct is kind of a snore. What about the bad writing?
It would have been more interesting of Mimi was in drag totally fish but a top. Interesting and funny. Having a person who wanted to be a woman topping and then this internal dialogue about her voice coming out during sex...Huh?
The reason why no older/wiser character takes Mimi aside and imparts some much needed information is that the author has no information to give. This story is not some half-hearted indictment of the Transgender community largely because the author knows nothing about the Transgender community. it is bad writing.
