am i the only one that doesn't particularly like johan? i just hate how he gave up instead of holding on the things he loved...
he's too much of a... coward to me (even if he is badass ;p) but i admit that he does bring depth to the story, even if I generally don't like when two people fight for one person... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

and also, wtf the gang story and the dog named Eden it's so sickening (might be cynicism or dark humor but as i see it it's very unhealthy)

That I have to say this is annoying but I know people will be whining about how mean I am without thinking that maybe I'm just tired of people posting their uninformed opinions without even understanding the story.

Uh no you're probably one of many that hates Johan. Seeing that you got so many upvotes and no down votes whatsoever. (Sometimes it sucks when I'm right.) It's just that the minority was almost about to have a chance where the majority finally kept their thoughts to themselves COMPLETELY for ONCE. After all, the minority, like myself, tend to be the non victim blamers.

He isn't a coward. JIN SUNG is the coward. I guess you didn't read the part where Johan had to avoid causing trouble for his mother AS she asked him to do but ended up making things worse. He was put in that position BECAUSE he didn't give up on things mmkay?

Jin Sung blamed Johan for everything. Couldn't give two SHITS about him when he was gone. Never considered how he made the other party feel AT ALL even though he was always telling the other party what a weakling he was.

Honestly, this chapter raised my estimation of Mi Jin and lowered it for Jin Sung. Ugh.

Hah, his whole life's been unhealthy. I just hope at the end of all this Johan becomes happy. He never was. He had this small inkling of happiness from Mijin but now that's all gone. :(

don't worry I don't mind at all XD, you're not mean or anything. Just a bit judgmental. What is an 'uninformed opinion' according to you? An opinion is by definition something subjective that only belongs and involves the one saying it... btw, it's always nice to see comments posted anonymously lmao (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ (just noticing, I don't really mind dw)

hey hey now, I never said I hated johan? I just don't particularly like him, and I never said JinSung wasn't a coward, he is... and I don't particularly like him either, he's not the type of character that i find interesting. Both characters don't bother me really. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ i was just surprised every comment was about how cool Johan was when i thought he wasn't to me, because of how he gave up and thought he had lost everything when he could have (should have to my mind) hold on to the things he cared for..
instead, he just shut himself to his friends and became obsessed with his idea of revenge (which he got with the boxing contest). Both these characters turned kinda badly to me, because of a wound in their ego/a psychological wound that made them change their personality and forget their original goal!

oh, what's wrong with people telling their opinion? how was I supposed to know my opinion was the "majority"??? it usually isn't, and I never say anything but this time I wanted to say something and since i'm the "majority" i can't? how unfair is that, everyone should be able to post their thoughts without being categorized like that.

you say i didn't understand the story but you said Jin sung "couldn't give two shits about him when he was gone" : he clearly did, he says that they searched for him a lot and that he never appeared... "i was so concerned whether or not you were alive" (or something like that)
And I don't remember him telling Johan he was a weakling? probably missed on that, i can only remember when he said he would protect him or when he said he was gonna work hard to beat him, which is more like an acknowledgment of Johan's strength...

Johan was confronted to a lot of various factors that led him to this, ik. Fist of all, jin sung was really inconsiderate as a child, saying whatever he wanted without caring whether it would hurt johan or not, and pretty much behaving like an asshole.
Also, Johan's classmates were horrible, very representative of our society that puts down the poorest, with those kids that always made him feel terrible and lame, taking on their own mediocrity on "easy targets", bullying him. Yes, this story is the perfect embodiment of social inequalities and other injustices based on shit. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
But... it was johan who listened to them. At the beginning he didn't, but couldn't do anything because his mom told him not to make a fuss, but in the end he lost track of his integrity, his honesty that made him so appealing at first. It was him who constantly compared himself to jin sung and lowered himself down, thinking we was no match and couldn't compete with him to win Mi jin's heart... but mijin never cared about these things!
He did not bring his misfortune on himself, but to be happy he should have accepted proudly the reality and kept with his original righteousness instead of turning his back on it.

Of course, he is human so this is why his reaction is interesting - and easily understandable - , even in a story, but I have no admiration for him whatsoever because he did not have the mental strength to face his own confidence issues, and ran away.. even if he had reasons. That's why i called him a coward ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

i hope this cleared things a bit,
    chuuu~~~
