Didn't like that part either, but it is very realistic. If you think about people working undercover as we speak, they probably have to do even more atrocious things in order to stop even more horrible things to happen (drugs, human trafficking, etc.). Not sure if I'd be able to handle it though, either waiting at home or the one having to "cheat".
You have a very mature and rational view of a fictional setting. I must say, I'm very impressed. Though I was disappointed by the scenario of the seme having to sleep with someone for information, like you, I understood the reason he had to do it and also the reason he felt so blazé about it. If I were in the uke's shoes, I would be hurt, angry, jealous and feeling very insecure, but I would do my best to understand my partner's position because that is what it means to love someone. The seme didn't necessarily "cheat" in my opinion. Cheating happens in the heart, not the bed. Perhaps it is because I have worked in adult entertainment and had to have sex with other actors and actresses whom I considered close friends and trusted, but did not love by any stretch of the imagination. The sex we had was work and nothing more and that is precisely how we all viewed it. No different than throwing burgers on a grill or loading boxes onto shelves. I believe it is the same for those working in espionage. Which is why the seme acted so blazé. Sex with that woman was no different than loading boxes or flipping burgers. Sex with his lover, the uke, is something altogether different. There is meaning, emotion and bonds created. The physical act of sex can be done with or by anyone and that Is a fact. What makes it special and important is whether or not you have feelings for your partner and they have feelings for you. As for being able to endure being in the seme or uke's shoes, humans are amazingly resilient. We can endure much more than we think we can. "Cheating happens in the heart, not the bed." that makes no sense. men/women sleep with other people due to selfishness, or just physical pleasure. the heart has nothing to do with it. yes, he had a good excuse due to his job, but that doesnt change the fact that he cheated on his partner. he should have discussed this with him before doing it, to see if it was something he could handle.
