I usually identify myself to the female's friend because I hear about my friend's love life a lot but I don't have one XD
That doesn't happen often but usually it's to a support character ^^ The best friend, or that grandma who says "believe in your dreams!" My character tends to vanish from the story pretty fast tho. Should I take that as a hint or something? Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
Hmm well not really I usually take on the bystander role and observe a relationship.
I don't think I'd be able to identify myself with a main character because most of the time they have a really diffrent personality than me and do stupid shit that I probably wouldn't do in real life
I'm the side character in shounen action anime/mangas, who has a bad mouth and doesn't give much a shit most of the time but is in your face when you mess with stuff he likes, like family, friends, babies, and puppies. I'm usually the one late to fights and beat up a few guys then give up because I'm lazy. Then I bad mouth the bad guys while giving tough-love to my fellow companions by screaming they should get their shit together and beat the enemies quickly. I'm basically a jerk but on the hero/good guy's side.
Nah it's very rare for me to identify with someone in a story. I use to identify myself with characters when I was younger quite frequently. But as I grew up that started to change. Even in my daydreams, and dreams, I daydream of random storylines I come up with, with me being completely uninvolved in it.

I was wondering if you guys can help me about a work. Do you identify yourself with the characters of the scan or anime you read or watch for Shojo / Shonen / Josei / Seinen ? And if 'yes', why ?
( Example if you have not understand : when I read Shojo I identify myself to the girl character because she has a gorgeous boyfriend ) I hope you have understand what I mean and if you can help me I will make me very very happy ! Sorry for mistakes ! And thank you ~
