Just curious

Does anyone know what this "boycott Lezhin" thing is about? It seems like some of the authors having their manhwa hosted on the Lezhin site are advocating for a boycott. But I'm not quite sure what they mean by that.

Pardon my confusion, but wouldn't boycotting Lezhin imply not investing in the comics that they host? In which case, the only alternative would be reading them illegally, or not reading them at all-- both of which hurt the author immensely (right?). If anyone knows more about this, feel free to explain it to me!

Oh and if you don't know what I'm talking about- I'm referring to what the authors have been saying on Twitter.

Some authors had payment issues with them. (thats the main reason i think)

They black listed authors, didn't pay them what they were due, treat novel authors worse than manhwa creators. That's the shortened version, can't remember the site I read about it on, but lezhin is toxic.
