TOTALLY agree. It's kind of hard to root for bland characters with seemingly no motivation. It's like, I don't care if a character is relatable so long as that character is entertaining.

While I enjoy Enjouji Maki's work (for the handsome male charactersლ(´ڡ`ლ)), I couldn't help but notice that most of her females characters have similar characterization, passionate women without any strong-good-unique traits that makes a lead female attractive in a fiction (my kind of fiction at least), they are just, sorry, so boring and stupid and can do nothing without the males influence. They were so passive and often overthinking things until the males do something, they only do something after the males were upset/leave, upon any "revelation" that their judgement of the male/situation were wrong and they need to do something about it. Why were they made like that, I wonder.. Sorry I really curious about something like that, after I found that this new manga of her has the enjouji-maki typical female lead all over again. It hurts to see females characters like that, you know.. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
