Idk i thought that wether it's plot driven or not determined a manga/anime's porn status. Like, if something was mainly story and had sex in it, it's not porn (like a movie with a sex scene or something, that doesn't count as porn). But that's just my opinion and everyone in this thread seems to disagree so oof lol
It also might depend on the intent of the reader, like if you're reading it to jack off, it would count as porn for that particular person.

No, my response kinda said the same thing. Hentai is straight up porn, but yaoi and yuri with actual plots are what I would call erotica, which is not quite the same thing.
If I read yaoi, yuri, or anything hentai is it considered reading porn?
