I feel no sympathy for the uke. I get that Nishioka was very blase with his previous 'female' companions but for the uke to spaz out and enter the relationship with doubts and hard feelings, without, talking it out... I have no sympathy.
ANYHOW, I am very glad they worked it out and are now a Super Cute couple ♡~♡

i on the other hand sympathize with him.. coz i have a similar experience..

You have to understand.... He has been in a one-sided love from a very long time. You might not be able to relate but there is this feeling of always holding back yet wanting the other person to see more of you.. the feeling that you wanted to just snap out of it and yet can't help but fall a little deeper each day.. the feeling that seeing them happy with others and wanting to run away from the pain yet can't bear to separate from him.. so in the very beginning that he fell in love he got a broken heart.. he already lost hope and didn't even thought he'll have a happy ending..

Then, suddenly... the one-sided love asked him out. The happiness is there, of course... But the greater the happiness, the greedier you get, because you suppressed your feelings for so long, you are so afraid to get carried away.. The fear, the anxiety, the lack of self-confidence..

Because they knew each other for so long, and the other person never thought of him more than friends suddenly kissing him.. The fear gets more and more suffocating.. It stops you from being happy.. Because everything feels so good that you can't help but doubt it.. The more the doubts, the more it gets heavier..

It is not that we do not want to open up. But in that situation, asking for trust in that kind of relationship.. isn't as easy as it looks.. because you knew so much of the other person that you can predict what will happen if it is another person.. Telling you to suddenly believe that it will turn out differently this time just because you are different and "special" is very hard to believe..

And the reason he can't talk it out is also because of that fear.. because you wanted to be together and thinking the other will react negatively after finally your feelings are reciprocated.. isn't also that easy..

You may not believe it, but many people are anxious to speak of their love while also wanting to shout it out for the world to hear.. But in any relationship, trust is earned.. trust in a friend and trust in a lover is both entirely different things..

I can relate on this so much..The feelings portrayed are not very easy to understand unless you go through that hell, like me..

I suffer from social anxiety. I can relate to uke on multiple levels, yet none of his actions are justified/acceptable. Being anxious does not give you license to trample over people's feelings. I'm glad he was called out for believing in his assumptions. His fears could have been communicated in better ways, other than steamrolling over the conversation.
