Pacing almost ruined it for me as well. The 5th and 6th chapter really showed those issues off like it was some sort of running gag. I was really close to dropping it.

it was so "5star" quality at the beginning but the ending was emmmmmmmmmmmm idk. so rushed and left me so unsatisfying. coudn't savor it to the fullest, dammit!(￣∇￣") it was good though :)
