I think Feilong is expressing a want for a relationship for himself. He admits to himself, he feels envy for what they have , he wants that kind of close relationship.To be jealous, it would be hard for him to offer his help so willingly. I think Fei has a true longing for his own relationship that is as strong as Asami and Takaba.
