At times like this, I get insensitive and tell my mom. Dating someone with the same last name is taboo in my culture so ╮(￣▽￣)╭ My second cousin told me he liked me and I couldn't do anything so I discussed with my parents and they lectured me about taboo relationships for an hour. Then, they went and talked to my second and cousin and everything was settled. I don't advise this approach though if you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings
Honestly, I have been putting some distance between us but he comes to me and start saying things like " you no longer care about me, perhaps you think I am not worth your time" and stuff that just makes me feel super guilty. I spoke to my mom about the matter she did tell me to forget this madness because in our family cousins don't date and she was really mad too but he just won't let go of me, I don't know what to do.
I told him, I like someone else and that he is important to me as well but the feeling is different, he keeps saying that if I give him a chance he can make me happy, he even talks about having a family with me.

Just kidding... I dont think being a cousin is a problem, but not liking him that way definitily is. So, if you really dont want to, try to talk to him honestly. Although mangas make it seems cool and an effort that in majority of times is rewarded, in real life its really sad and sometimes a waste of time/life to keep waiting for someone that doesnt want you. I did but he still say that me rejecting him is just an excuse because I don't like him as a PERSON which is not true because he is an amazing guy. He's got his own life tho, he's got a girlfriend and he is a womanizer but he keeps saying that if it's for me he will change and be a better man, anyway it's so messed up.
I feel for you. My relatives went through something similar. First and foremost, do not feel bad you've done absolutely nothing wrong. If your cousin truly loved you then he wouldn't try to guilt you and put all this pressure on you. It's not 100% correct to say it's his fault for feeling the way he does because feelings can't be helped, but he is at wrong for the way he's handling them. You are his family, and that comes with a level of trust. You're trusting him to look at you with love and not lust and Ok he wanted to take a chance to tell you how he feels just in case but you rejected that and so he should try and move on from this. Never let him pressure you or make you feel in the wrong. It sounds to me that he's a shitty cousin in the end and you need to get away from him asap.
Bottom line don’t date, kiss, marry etc your cousin or any family member that’s disgusting I don’t give a fuck if he likes you or not just don’t its sick.

Damn I'm in a similar situation with my cousin, we grew up together and I moved to another country then I saw him again after 11 years. He tells me his feelings but I'm not willing because we are close cousins, it's so complicated cause our friendship is falling apart ☹☹ wish I could just forget all about it thou.
